Lior Tavori

Based in Tel Aviv, Lior Tavori is the artistic director of Lior Tavori Dance Company. He holds a Bachelor Degree in Fine Arts and a Masters Degree in Dance from the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance. Now a lecturer at the Academy in the choreography Program, Tavori is also a teacher and creator for the International Dance Program of the Vertigo Dance Company in Israel. Aside from creating work for his own company, from 2019-2021 he contributed new works to the Curtain Up Dance Festival and has created pieces for the Chongqing Ballet China, Guangzhou Opera House China, Quorum Ballet Portugal and for the Inbal Dance Theater. Tavori has received numerous awards in Israel and his choreographies have been performed on countless stages around the world including China, Italy, Spain, United States, Brazil, Mexico, Georgia and Taiwan among others. In 2022, «8th day» will premiere at the Suzanne Dellal Centre as part of Tel Aviv Dance Festival 2022 and he will create new works for the Bavarian Junior Ballet Munich in 2022 and the Scapino Ballet Rotterdam in 2023.
