Maged Mohamed

Born in Mecca to Egyptian parents, Maged Mohammed undertook his first ballet lessons at the age of eight before received his first professional engagement with the ballet company of the Cairo Opera. Moving to Europe Mohammed was engaged as a soloist at the Meininger Theater before continuing his career in the ensembles of the Semperoper Dresden and the Bavarian State Ballet. In the 2013/14 season he was part of the management team of the choreographic-integrative youth project «Heinrich tanzt III», the result of which was performed in July 2014 in the Muffathalle. Since 2015 Maged has been a freelance choreographer and has created numerous works including «Paradise», which was shown at the Noverre Society in Stuttgart in 2015, and the short film «7 years before», which received awards at the Nice International Film Festival, among others.
