Are these just businessmen busting a move to the most familiar tunes from Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake, or are they representatives of everyone looking for something more than the stagnation of their everyday grind? Ralf Jaroschinki's «Intuition Blast» is a whimsical duet for two men that blends modern dance with hip-hop moves in a way that makes modern dance accessible and fun. Originally premiered to celebrate Bayerisches Staatsballett's 10th anniversary as part of the company's first acclaimed Terpsichore Gala series, «Intuition Blast» has continued to delight audiences.

Dressed in shirts and ties, attire most commonly associated with the corporate world, two men find themselves in a comic predicament....Do they follow the banality of their daily nine-to-five grind, or do they find solace in intuitively grasping the rhythms stirring beneath the superficial surface of their identities? However you choose to interpret Jaroschinski's choreographic study, when the waltzing rhythms of Tchaikovsky's most famous Swan Lake excerpts begin to swell, it is hard not to be intoxicated by the infectious exhilaration at the heart of this work. «Intuition Blast» is a heart-warming and joyous piece that connects us all to our own inner journey of joyful discovery and whimsical delight!
