Impressions from Simone Sandroni's «Binding Pulse»
Simone Sandroni returns to Munich to create his first new work for the students of the Ballett-Akademie der Hochschule für Musik und Theater München. After «Cambio d'abito» and «Das Mädchen und das Messerwerfer» for the Bayerisches Staatsballett und «Boy Meets Girl» for the Bayerisches Junior Ballett München, rehearsals have been taking place for the past month with a lively and energetic pulse in the Wilhelmstrasse studios.

“Binding Pulse” is a celebration of the heartbeat that unites us, connecting us to others.
The music of Francesco Antonioni, with its rhythmic pulse intertwining the heartbeat with sounds and voices of ancient rituals, becomes the fertile ground where the body merges into a single beat, into a shared vibration.
The heartbeat, that vital pulsation that has accompanied us since the beginning of our existence, is the foundation of this choreography. It is not just a sound, but a percussion that becomes rhythm, energy, and collective breath. Every movement is a repetition of the beat that links us to one another, transforming a group of individuals into a single force, a community in motion. The strength of the body following the pulsation is not just physical, but becomes a symbol of deep solidarity, of a bond that transcends the individual to become a collective dance, taking us beyond our space and time.
The shared rhythm, the synchronized movement, is the pure manifestation of our human solidarity. In “Binding Pulse”, this idea translates into a primordial ritual, where the beat becomes the language that unites and transforms us, guiding us into a dance that reaches other dimensions, other perceptions of our being. The pulsation expands, rises, and like a ritual, pushes us toward a sense of transcendence.
In “Binding Pulse”, the dance is not just movement, but the beat that makes us exist and transforms us, making us part of a collective harmony that transcends the individual body and makes us feel united in an endless pulsation, in an eternal ritual of life and transformation.
