On Tour with the Juniors
To finish the calendar year the juniors are travelling on 1st December to our former “Tanzland” partner city Villingen-Schwenningen to present the program »Liebesleid und Liebesfreud« at the Theater am Ring.
From 2018-2020 the Bayerisches Junior Ballett München presented 4 different programs as part of the Kuturstiftung des Bundes enormously successful Tanzland project which connected ensembles from the freelance scene together with Inthega-theatres (click here to read more about the project) to deepen the connection between ensembles and audiences from particular regions. While we are no stranger to the city of Villingen-Schwenningen, we look forward to introducing the city to our new generation of dancers on this tour as they present Ivan Liška/Norbert Graf/Maged Mohammed’s «Liebesbotschaften», Richard Siegals «3/4 Preludes», the return premiere of Jiří Kyliáns «Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen» and the ensemble’s second performance of Marco Goecke’s «All Long Dem Day».
In addition to this tour, the company will be travelling with the Bayerisches Staatsballett to the kurstadt Baden-Baden ahead of their performances of Christopher Wheeldon’s magical production of »Cinderella«. As part of the junior company’s official cooperation with the Bayerisches Staatsballett, each year they perform in up to five different productions with the company. While they are already professionally engaged as dancers with our company, rehearsing and performing onstage in such large-scale productions is essential for developing their skills in bigger companies. We are enormously grateful to Laurent Hillaire and his team for their ongoing conscientious support in providing genuine professional development opportunities for the company through their wonderful and broad repertoire.
